Vent Magazine

“Golden Someday” captures a very pure and genuine sound that grabs the listener right from the start and doesn’t let go. I’ve never heard an artist so skillfully combine so many genere’s into one unique sound. Weather this is by design or simply by accident it’s amazing. If there was one word I would use to describe Dion it would be passionate. This CD will simply make your day more entertaining, but there is an undeniable passion beneath all this. Dion is a very capable writer, but it’s obvious to me his primary goal as an artist is to make this world a better place one song at a time.

Skope Magazine

In a nutshell this is Bruce Springsteen meets a fresher version of Bob Dylan.
This is one artist that clearly gives you a musical snapshot that is highly original, uplifting and dare I say brilliantly captivating in scope.

I can honestly say this: He is what we’ve been waiting for.
He possesses all the attributes required of a world class singer/songwriter. He’s the element that’s been missing from Radio lately and I don’t say stuff like that often.
Armed with a brilliant artistic perspective, superlative writing style, and a powerful message to call his own. Need I say more?

Dion has all the creativity and songwriting prowess to be extremely dangerous. Let me go on record by stating Jeremy Dion has no weaknesses that I can see and hear. He has everything and this latest string of songs on Golden Some Day are and endearing staple limited by nothing.

Highly original, and passionate It strikes the perfect balance between alternative rock and just a dash of Alternative Pop and Folk. It's clear to me he enjoys helping people with his music.

Dion give us a fresh glimpse at an amazing artist and takes us back a few years – before everything started sounding like – well like everything else.

1. More Lately
If I didn’t have the question now

You wouldn’t have to show me how

All the many ways to love with

A heart like this

Impressive

Like staring at the ocean

Leaving me to wonder

How it might have been to love

My fascination

With the fault in your foundation

Those places where the light lets in

And you know me

If I didn’t have the question now

You wouldn’t have to show me how

All the many ways to love with

A heart like this

I’ve been awake more lately

There’s a fever

That’s always got you burning

It’s never gonna leave you

Never let you down one time

When we were only children

And you let it shine for me

Then we’d all go on

Living like we have more time

If I didn’t have the question now

You wouldn’t have to show me how

All the many ways to love with

A heart like this

I’ve been awake more lately

You got me running like a river

Right into the waiting sea

She’s got her arms wide open

Just for me

There’ll be no hesitation

Just simple adoration

For life and the lover

The sailor and the song

If I didn’t have the question now

You wouldn’t have to show me how

All the many ways to love with

A heart like this

I have been awake more lately

2. Alternative Facts

We were marching in a line and headed for it

But the route was asinine and you ignored it

Lost in the grand applause when the wizard’s taken over Oz

I’m the Tin Man and the Scarecrow all in one

You can try to comprehend it all when the truth was the first to fall

But integrity will not be outdone

It’s a lie but we ain’t gonna call it

Not drunk but we’re already falling down, down, away we go

Stop telling me what’s the alternative

I only want to see my name in lights

Don’t give a damn about human rights

I’ve felt like a loser all my life

But now I’ve got my trophy wife and I paste my name

on everything I see

Now I’ve conned my way to power and it

May be history’s darkest hour

But it’s just fake news if it doesn’t agree with me

It’s a lie but we ain’t gonna call it

Not drunk but we’re already falling down, down, away we go

Stop telling me what’s the alternative

I will grab your private lands

Disregard my tiny hands

Never mind that the planet’s warming

Or the xenophobic hatred forming

Just keep your eyes on me

I gotcha thinking that I can’t be trusted

And that my cabinet will soon be busted

But that’s Deep State Conspiracy

It’s a lie but we ain’t gonna call it

Not drunk but we’re already falling down, down, away we go

Stop telling me what’s the alternative

It’s a lie but we ain’t gonna call it

Not drunk but we’re already falling down, down, away we go

Stop telling me what’s the alternative

3. Evangeline

An ocean town

The kind where you’re known around

And everyone heard

What your sister said last night

In the days before

I was standing outside your door

Hoping there’s way

To make this turn out right

Evangeline, Evangeline

Either bring the water

Or the gasoline

Pay no mind

To all you’ve seen

Please bring the water

Evangeline

Those tales we’d tell

Standing ‘round by the wishing well

With one more penny

Then it’s all just riding on the dime

Soft and low

How I loved it when you told me so

But words don’t matter

When you’re running short on time

Evangeline, Evangeline

Either bring the water

Or the gasoline

Pay no mind

To all you’ve seen

Please bring the water

Evangeline

All the people in their places

They pass the time with honest faces

The morning bird

Had me hanging on to every word

But not a tear before she flew away

We loved the same

But that picture never found a frame

Now I’m aching baby

And begging you to stay

Evangeline, Evangeline

Either bring the water

Or the gasoline

Pay no mind

To all you’ve seen

Please bring the water

Evangeline

4. Don’t Bother

Don’t bother shaking your head

You got me burning

But don’t bother shaking your head tonight

When everything about you is turning me on

And it’s about time that we go

Those dishes in the kitchen they can be done

Until the morning baby, so now

Don’t bother shaking your head

You got me burning

But don’t bother shaking your head tonight

My money’s on the win and I’m betting we show

So don’t you think of turning me down

Just whisper what you’re needing I’m on the floor

Until the morning baby, so now

Don’t bother shaking your head

You got me burning

But don’t bother shaking your head tonight

Seven come eleven and we’re on a roll

Slowing down and taking our time

Surrender in the union is making me whole

Until the morning baby, so now

Don’t bother shaking your head

You got me burning

But don’t bother shaking your head tonight

Don’t bother shaking your head

You got me burning

But don’t bother shaking your head tonight

5. Small Town Love

We were one as the day was done

And the night becomes a valley

To cradle all the lovers who open here

Disavow abandon and disappear

Into another’s arms

We never have to try

Loving you gets easier

The more it passes by

Your city heart

This small town love

You got me baby

Tender light

In the tender light

Shadows dancing with the music

Keeping time and rhythm and honor here

It’s all about the rhythm with you my dear

It’s clear

We never have to try

Loving you gets easier

The more it passes by

Your city heart

This small town love

You got me baby

Patiently how you wait for me

I’m standing on the mountain

You’re way across the water

But I know you

And you’ll say something

That I find funny

And those miles between are gone

We never have to try

Loving you gets easier

The more it passes by

Your city heart

This small town love

You got me baby

6. Friday Night

Well I’d been kicking it around on my own

On my own too long

In 1942 at the Old Blue Moon

They always played my favorite song

I saw him in the mirror and he looked so fine

So handsome cool and clean

With a confident hand across my table

The band broke into Josephine

Take me down

Take me down down down

To the town

To the town town town

Where everybody’s gonna be dancing

Up on a Friday night

It might have been my makeup

It could have been my hair

Or pure and simple destiny

That a country boy and a city girl

Yes I would love to dance

So let your love light shine on me

Take me down

Take me down down down

To the town

To the town town town

Where everybody’s gonna be dancing

Up on a Friday night

I worked the candy counter at the five and dime

We sold most anything

And at a quarter past the hour he layed one on me

And now my finger’s got this fancy ring

Take me down

Take me down down down

To the town

To the town town town

Where everybody’s gonna be dancing

Up on a Friday night
